Tamil Cinema running on Deficits? Says Karthi and Vishal
The South indian Artists Association (SIAA) nicknamed Nadigar Sangam election votes were counted the other day after a two-year wait. These elections were place in 2019, however owing to a legal challenge, the counting was suspended. Meanwhile, Pandavar Ani, led by hero vishal and actor Nassar, has won those polls. Their opposition team, "Swaami Sankaradaas Ani," was defeated in the polls, backed by actor Bhagyaraaj and producer Ishaari K. Ganesh.
Nassar received 1702 votes in the presidential election, while Bhagyaraaj received 1055 votes. vishal, who ran for the position of General Secretary, defeated producer Ishaari K Ganesh by a large margin. Kaarthi, an actor, has been elected treasurer. The Nadigar Sangam's vice-presidents are actors Karunaas and Poochi Murugan. Pandavar Ani had previously won elections. This will be their second term in the Nadigar Sangam's leadership roles. They are ecstatic to have won the elections after a two-year court struggle.
After winning the elections, karthi said that the tamil industry is running heavily on deficits and they wanted to reduce that first and slowly they will move towards the betterment of tamil film workers and other unions. vishal also promised that the financial burden is huge for tamil cinema due to COVID and they need to stand on the feet again.
