RRR compared with Marvel and DC comics

One internet user even suggested that our filmmakers take inspiration from the Marvel and DC film franchises. "When it comes to big-budget hollywood releases like Marvel or DC pictures, the studios don't lobby governments around the world to raise ticket prices. They make certain that the film is released in such a way that it is seen by everyone on the planet. If you don't have the financial means to release films on such a large scale, don't make high-budget pictures," a netizen said in response to the increase in ticket costs.

"If one filmmaker requests a trek today, another filmmaker will request the same the next day." Every big budget picture will go through this procedure. If this trend continues, moviegoers will have to pay exorbitant ticket rates for every major release. Due to the introduction of OTT culture, family audiences have already ceased visiting to theatres," a netizen said on social networking sites.

In fact, the present situation plainly indicates that people will not enter movie theatres after seeing the increased charges. When the film premieres on OTT platforms, they prefer to see it at home instead of paying $3200 for a single viewing (an equivalent price for a middle-class family of 5-6 people, including tickets and F&B options in multiplexes). It is past time for producers to step outside of their comfort zones and witness firsthand how people are suffering the consequences of the pandemic. Rather than delivering affordable entertainment, the producers made the cinema experience a costly affair.
