Sonic the Hedgehog 2 continues its predecessor's tradition of responding to fans' complaints by making a minor change to a recent poster. Sonic the Hedgehog, released by Paramount in 2020, was one of the year's few movie office successes. Many people hailed it as one of the best video game adaptations of all time, and it made $147 million in the short time it was in cinemas. As a result, it's no surprise that Paramount moved quickly to greenlight a sequel, which will hit theatres in April.

Ben Schwartz will reprise his vocal performance as Sonic the Hedgehog in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. This time, he'll be reunited with his closest buddy Tails (Collen O'Shaughnesey), whom he teased in the post-credits scene of the first film. Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carey) and Knuckles the Echidna (Idris Elbaa) must work together to prevent the master Emerald from falling into the wrong hands and destroying the planet. james Marsden and Tika Sumptar reprise their roles as Sonic's human friends tom and Maddie in Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

The marketing for Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is in full swing, with the game's release just over a month away. That means new innovative posters, albeit one in particular has recently enraged fans. The names of O'Shaughnessey and Sumpter were not published among their co-stars, severely reducing the cast to only the men. However, after a large number of fans objected, Paramount appears to have replaced the poster.
