Matt Reeves Says The Batman Is Exactly The Movie He Wanted It To Be

Matt Reeves, the director of Batman, claims that the final product is exactly what he envisioned. After managing the critically praised final two pictures in the recent Planet of the Apes franchise, Reeves wrote the screenplay for the latest big-screen adaptation of the Caped Crusader. Cloverfield, a monster film, and Let Me In, a horror remake, are two of Reeve's previous directing endeavours.



The Batman features Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz, and Andy Serkkis filling out the group. He definitely joins a long line of Bruce Waynes before him. Ben Affleck, who will portray Batman in this year's The Flash, which would be situated in a separate universe than Reeves' The Batman, was the last actor to play that role in live-action. Christian Bale played the part in christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy before Pattinson and Affleck.




The notion of having Batman in a linked DCEU was too much for Reeves, who wanted to portray a real detective noir storey for the character with his film. In an interview with Deadline, the filmmaker stated that Warner Bros. fully supported his vision and never questioned it, embracing the author's concept. Given the long history of outstanding Batman pictures, Reeves wanted to create something "distinctive, unusual, and authoritative."
