Bheemla avoids Valimai Mistake

Bheemla nayak and valimai, both South indian blockbusters, were released recently. If there's one thing these two big-budget movies have in connection, it's the both star top actors and were launched amid sky-high anticipation. bheemla nayak, on the other hand, got one thing right that valimai didn't: run-time. The running time of a movie always decides the fate of the movie most of the times.

When compared to the earlier, bheemla nayak, the telugu adaptation of Ayyapanum Koshiyum, has one notable difference: the run time. Unlike Ayyapanum Koshiyum, which ran for nearly three hours, bheemla nayak runs for about two hours and twenty-five minutes. The drama aspect is reduced, resulting in a shorter overall run-time. This is a smart choice by the creators to keep the running time short.

Valimai, on the other hand, clocked in at roughly 2 hours 55 minutes. This came back to haunt the picture, since one of the most common criticisms of the ajith starrer is its excruciatingly long running duration. After burning their hands, the filmmakers had to call for restorations, which resulted in a 14-minute reduction in the final cut. Bheemla Nayak's creators were astute in cutting the run-time and keeping everything snappy, but valimai took a gamble by trying for a long run-time, which backfired. While one was able to get it right before the distribution, the other had to endure a lethal blow before undergoing alterations.
