The Rock will play Teth-Adam in the upcoming DCEU film Black Adam, and some fans might be wondering if he'll join the Justice League. The Justice Society of America (or JSA) will be featured in Black Adam, with at least one member attempting to enlist Black Adam. The Justice Society, on the other hand, is not the same as the Justice League, and Black Adam's experience with each team in DC's books is distinct.
Teth-Adam of the fictional nation Kahndaq was granted the same abilities as Billy Batson in the 2019 film Shazam! The Wizard chose Teth-Adam to be his first champion, but after his family was slain by outlaws, he became angry and vengeful. Black Adam was one of Billy Batson's biggest villains in DC Comics at first, but he evolved into a more ethically ambiguous character over time. Teth-Adam, who became the famous Black Adam in the DCEU, will be portrayed as an anti-hero rather than a criminal in the film.
The advertising campaign for Black Adam features the titular anti-hero interacting with members of the Justice Society of America, including Hawkman, doctor Fate, Cyclone, and Atom Smasher. The Justice League isn't referenced or shown in any of Black Adam's trailers, although doctor Fate tries to recruit him to the JSA. In the comics, Black Adam has been a member of both the JSA and the Justice League, but in the DCEU, he'll most likely only be a member of the JSA, and it's unknown how long that will remain.
