Karthi Sivakumar is currently finishing her acting career in the upcoming film Viruman directed by Muthiah. In between, he has occasionally acted in Mani Ratnam's Ponni's Selvan.
In this situation, karthi was contracted to act in Sardar, directed by Mitran, who directed iron Curtain and Hero.
The FIRST LOOK of the film was released in april last year and was well-received, after which no announcement was made about the film.
The film is set to start shooting in chennai on january 6. Composed by Yuvanshankar Raja, the film stars Rasikanna, Rajyasree Vijayan and Simran.
