Remaking Malayalam films in Tollywood is the new Trend?
The recent growth and success of malayalam cinema have extended beyond the kerala film industry to telugu filmmakers in the form of remakes. Numerous films like 'Premam', 'ABCD', 'Bodyguard' and 'Drishyam' have been remade before and they also tasted success.

As a result, there is a high demand in telugu for the acquisition of the rights to successful malayalam films. Mohanlal's 'Lucifer' is now remade by chiranjeevi and tamil Director Mohan Raja is shaping the remake with some necessary changes to the original.

Now, it is remade with Pawan and Rana in telugu and the movie is not yet titled. Even victory venkatesh has completed the remake of the 'Drishyam' sequel and he wanted to make the sequel happen after the astounding success that happened in the malayalam version with Mohanlal.
