It has been 12 years since the biggest
blockbuster 'Magadheera' got released and it was one of the peak movies of
director S.S.Rajamouli.
kajal aggarwal and
ram charan essayed the lead roles and this
movie also brought
dev gill into the
industry as an antagonist. The
movie had a reincarnation theme with a revenge-based plot and it got a huge appreciation and it even tasted
success in Tamil, Malayalam, and
hindi languages.
The
movie was funded under
geetha arts Banner and today
geetha arts have tweeted and thanked the fans for the huge
success of the movie. The
movie which was released in 2009 surpassed Rajini's
chandramukhi which ran for more than 1000 days and it also ended as the highest running South
indian film.
Apart from commercial
success, the
movie also bagged several awards and proved its potential. After 5 years, the
movie got remade in the
bengali language as 'Yoddha The Warrior' and again it was a successful outing. Even though the
movie was just made on a shoe-string budget of 35 Crores at that period, it fetched profits of 150 Crores and that clearly showcased Rajamouli's potential as a
director and fans are right now celebrating the 12th year anniversary.
