Venkatesh's Narappa gets a release date
Telugu’s one of the most awaited films of the year ‘Narappa’ starring venkatesh and priyamani to release on amazon Prime on July 20. The movie was expected to release in theatres by May 14th but due to Covid-19 the production house had to opt for the OTT release. venkatesh announced the news on twitter while advising the fans to watch it with their dear ones at the comfort of their homes.
Prakash Raj, murali Sharma and karthik Rathnam are other actors starring in the film. srikanth addala who directed films like ‘Kotha Bangaru Lokam’, ‘Mukunda’ and ‘Brahmotsavam’ is directing the film in telugu. mani sharma produces the music for the movie and the first single titled ‘Chalaaki Chinnammi’ was released on 11th July.
Narappa is the official remake of ‘Asuran’ from tamil starring dhanush and manju warrier in the lead role directed by Vetrimaran. The movie gained cult status after being widely applauded for the subject it spoke about. vetrimaran received the national award for Best Feature Film in tamil for Asuran. Venkatesh’s other projects that might hit the screens very soon are Drushyam 2 and F3, a sequel to the hit movie F2: Fun and Frustration that released in 2019.
