'KGF' director prashanth neel celebrates his 41st birthday today. But do you know that kgf is not his debut movie as a director? He made his debut in 2014 with the kannada movie 'Ugramm' and then he followed it with 'KGF' which gave him a new identity. The sequel to 'KGF' will release on July 16, 2021.
In an interview with a kannada weekly magazine, Neel said he took to filmmaking initially for the need of money, following which he completed a course in the same, eventually developing an interest in it. Initially, he wanted to make a movie with his brother-in-law and actor srimurali as he noticed his mannerisms and everything.
The movie 'Ugramm' released in 2014 and was a huge success. Then he wanted to make something bigger and he came with KGF. His next film kgf which stands for Kolar gold Fields presented yash in the role of Rocky, an orphan who becomes a don and the film turned to be an all-time kannada Industry hit. In fact, the movie showcased prashanth neel as a great visionary too. Now, he has signed his next set of movies with prabhas and junior ntr in telugu and he is now the most-wanted director.
