Is Chinmayi targeting Vairamuthu intentionally?
Popular singer cum dubbing artist chinmayi Sripada is very vocal about everything that happens with her and around her. There were many instances when she voiced her opinion about the problems that women are facing in the industry. She is super daring and has talked about the sexual harassment she has undergone in the hands of popular lyricist vairamuthu in the #Metoo campaign.
She said that the National award winning lyricist asked her to co-operate and threatened to ruin her career. Though she came out and spoke about it openly none of her colleagues or friends made a comment or at least supported her in any way. There were also voices raised against her.
Today she took to her twitter handle to express her bad feeling about vairamuthu receiving the popular ONV literary award. She wrote. "Mr. vairamuthu gets the fifth ONV literary award instituted by the ONV Cultural Academy. Wow. Late Mr ONV Kurup would be proud."
She criticized the jury for presenting the esteemed award to vairamuthu who has been allegedly accused by 17 women of sexual harassment during the metoo movement.
