There will be times when a movie might get shelved after its announcement or even while the shooting progresses mid-way itself. ram gopal varma who was flying higher after the success of 'Satya' came up with the script of 'Vinalani Vundi' in the year 1998. chiranjeevi was supposed to do the lead role in the movie along with urmila as the female lead.
The team started the shooting and even 20% of the shooting progressed without any hassles. But after that disagreement popped out between chiranjeevi and ram gopal varma and chiranjeevi decided not to continue the movie until issues are sorted in the script. mani sharma was the music composer for the film and even two songs were already canned by the team.
This movie was likely to be produced by aswani dutt under the vyjayanthi movies banner. However, as no amicable solution popped out, the movie was shelved totally after 20% of the shooting is done. ram gopal varma never sorted the issues with chiranjeevi regarding the script even after that.
