'99 Songs' is a Musical romantic flick directed by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy and co-written and produced by A. R. Rahman (in his maiden production banner YM Movies), who thus makes his debut in both roles. The movie got released today in tamil, telugu, and Hindi. It is also co-produced by Ideal Entertainment and distributed by jio Studios.
The movie features Ehan Bhat and Edilsy Vargas in lead roles aditya seal, lisa ray, and manisha koirala is part of the supporting cast. Initially EROS international wanted to produce this movie and they backed out at the last minute and finally, AR rahman himself bankrolled this project under his banner YM Movies. The cinematography for the film was jointly handled by Tanay Satam and james Cowley, while editing was done by akshay Mehta and Shreyas Beltangdy.
Gautham menon and kiran penned the dialogues for the tamil and telugu versions. Now, the movie got released on the Netflix OTT platform. The movie got released in tamil, telugu, as well as hindi languages on Netflix. However, the movie never got the desired response on the streaming site. AR rahman who produced the movie continues to promote it extensively on his social media handles.
