Bollywood showing interest in Tollywood remakes
Released in 2016, pellichoopulu was a breezy romantic comedy starring vijay deverakonda and Ritu varma, and directed by debutant director Tharun Bascker Dhassyam was a surprise box office success, and the movie had gone on to collect more than 15 crores to become a super hit.
Last year, the movie's malayalam remake was announced, starring Asif ali and aishwarya Lakshmi, and the movie titled vijay Superum Pournamiyum was announced to be directed by Jis Joy of sunday Holiday fame. On the other hand, the movie's kannada and tamil versions are in making as well.
Now, the bollywood version of pellichoopulu, directed by Nitin Kakkar and starring Jacky Bhagnani and kritika karma, was a huge success. These days bollywood makers are preferring safe bet and they are showing interest to remake telugu movies directly. Evaru, Joseph, goodachari, Agent saj, Hit, are some of the south indian movies in pipeline to be remade in hindi for now.
