Irrfan Khan passes away at 54 due to neuroendocrine tumor

irrfan khan who is one of the versatile actors in bollywood has taken his last breath today. He was 54 years old. He was rushed to Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital yesterday due to breathing issues. The actor was already suffering from a neuroendocrine tumor.

 

He underwent several treatments in abroad for several months in 2019 and he just worked on one project at that time. It was director Homi Adajania’s Angrezi Medium. Just before the release of that movie, he sent a message through a video to his fans and he said, "One doesn’t have any other choice but to remain positive. Whether you are able to make lemonade in such situations is entirely up to you. We’ve made this film with the same sort of positivity. I hope this film is able to make you laugh and cry in equal measure."

 

Some of his notable works are the Academy Award-nominated Salaam Bombay!, Maqbool (2004), Paan Singh Tomar (2011), The Lunchbox (2013), Haider (2014), Gunday (2014), Piku (2015) and Talvar (2015) and hindi Medium (2017). He even acted in hollywood movies such as Slumdog Millionaire, Jurassic World, The Amazing Spider-Man and Life of Pi.
