Kamal Hassan summoned by Crime branch in death during shoot of Indian 2

Reportedly actor turned politician kamal hassan was summoned by the Central Crime Branch police in connection with the crane accident at the indian 2 shooting, where three persons were killed and 12 injured at the spot.

 

As per report 3 technicians namely Madhu, chandran and krishna were killed and 12 others injured after the crane fell on them while constructing the sets at the EVP Film City in chennai on february 19 night. Furthermore Lead actor kamal hassan, female lead kajal aggarwal, as well as director shankar himself, had a providential escape that night.

 

Currently the police are summoning people who were present at the accident spot for the inquiry to ascertain the reason for the accident. They will find out about the safety precautions that were taken and other details. A few days ago, the actor has written a letter to Subhaskaran, Chairman and founder of Lyca Productions, asking him to conduct safety audits on film sets before the shooting. In his letter, the Vishwaroopam 2 actor had asked the producer to elaborate on the safety measures on indian 2 set. He said that this will restore the confidence of the cast and crew (including me) to report back for the shoot. He has also written that he would want to know what kind of insurance the production house has taken.
