Actor Aravind Swamy is on a roll post his 2015 blockbuster Thani Oruvan that had him playing the super powerful antagonist Siddharth Abhimanyu pitted against the super cop Mithran played by Jayam Ravi.

Post the success, the actor went on to star in the movie's Telugu remake Dhruva starring Ramcharan, and also acted again with Jsusk Ravi in the soul swapping flick Bogan. Reportedly in talks to star in Maniratnam's upcoming flick, the actor has wrapped up the shoot for Bhaskar oru rascal, the official remake of Malayalam superhit Bhaskar the rascal, co-starring Amala Paul and directed by Siddique, and has now moved on to his next, titled Vanangamudi.

Directed by Selva, who had already directed Aravind Swamy in the 90s in the hilarious entertainer Puthaiyal, Vanangamudi is a cop flick that also stars Irudhi Suttru girl Ritika Singh, Nandita Swetha and Simran in crucial roles. Aravind Swamy is on a strict diet regime and rigorous workout sessions to get a beefed up physique for a particular sequence in the film, which is expected to be an interesting action drama.

On the contrary, Aravind Swamy has done a role of a conman in 'Sathuranga Vettai 2' and Trisha has paired with him in that movie. Trisha is also seen in negative shades in the project. Soon after such a bad guy image, he has transformed into a cop!
