Indusind bank shares fall, these mutual funds sank?
Today, the stock market has seen tremendous fluctuations and during this time, a huge decline was recorded in the shares of Indusind Bank. Recently on Tuesday, the shares of Indusind bank fell by almost 27 percent and closed at Rs 656.80. Due to this decline, the market cap of the bank has come down by a huge amount of Rs 19,000 crore. Talking about the shares of the bank, the 52-week low has been Rs 649 and the highest level has been Rs 1,576.35 per share.
Let us tell you that recently RBI extended the tenure of the CEO of the bank for only one year instead of three years, after which the shares of the bank started falling. At the same time, other reasons are being given for the fall in the shares of Indusind Bank. When the bank checked its internal accounts, a mismatch was found in the derivative portfolio, due to which a loss of about Rs 1,500 crore is expected on the bank's profit and loss statement (P&L STATEMENT).
These funds got a shock
Talking about the shares of Indusind bank, many mutual funds are also heavily invested in the shares of Indusind Bank. According to the data of february 2025 of Ace Equities, 35 different mutual funds held more than 20.88 crore shares of Indusind Bank. Their total value was around Rs 20,760 crore, but after the recent decline, it has come down to Rs 14,600 crore.
The highest holding was with ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, whose total value was Rs 3,779 crore. After this, hdfc Mutual Fund had shares worth Rs 3,564 crore and sbi Mutual Fund had shares worth Rs 3,048 crore. Apart from this, other mutual funds like UTI, Nippon India, Bandhan and Franklin Templeton had also invested from Rs 740 crore to Rs 2,447 crore.
Talking about different funds,
ICICI Prudential Fund had 3.81 crore shares worth Rs 3,779 crore, hdfc Mutual Fund had 2.8 crore shares worth Rs 3,564 crore and sbi Mutual Fund had 3.07 crore shares worth Rs 3,048 crore. Apart from this, Kotak Mutual Fund and Tata Mutual Fund had shares worth Rs 522 crore and Rs 517 crore respectively till february 2025.
