Important update from HDFC bank..!!
India's largest private bank hdfc bank has announced that none of its customers will be able to use UPI services for three hours on august 10, 2024, due to major technical infrastructure work. The bank is informing all customers through email about this planned suspension of UPI services.
When will the UPI service become inactive?: As per the email sent by hdfc bank to its customers, UPI services will not be available from 02:30 am to 05:30 am (3 hours) on 10th august 2024. hdfc bank Current and Savings Account (CASA) holders will not be able to carry out financial and non-financial transactions during this period.
What is the UPI limit in hdfc Bank?: P2P (Person to Person) limit is Rs. 1 lakh or 20 transactions on a 24-hour basis. In a notification issued by the RBI today, the limit for payments made through UPI payment at the point of payment of taxes has been increased from the existing 1 lakh rupees to 5 lakh rupees per day.
RBI governor Shaktikanta Das said that while there was a limit of Rs 1 lakh for payment of tax through UPI, this has been increased to Rs 5 lakh in the two-day Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting of RBI Bank. Earlier tax-related payments were tax-exempt up to Rs 1 lakh only, and the excess amount was taxable. This has now been increased to 5 lakhs and tax exemption has been given for tax payments up to 5 lakhs.
