52 percent Indians paid bribes for transfer of inherited property!!

If no will exists, then all the legal heirs of the deceased property owner will have to reach an agreement and submit its documents. This clearly shows that transferring property in the country is not an easy process.
This survey has been done through the local survey platform. A total of 26000 people took part in it. Of these, 48 percent people were from Tier-1, 27 percent people from Tier-2 and 25 percent people were from Tier 3-4 city and rural areas. Among the participants in this survey, 67 percent were men and 33 percent were women.
52 percent people gave bribe
25 per cent of the people who participated in this survey said that they had to pay bribes at many places for the transfer of property. While 27 percent of the people said that they gave bribe at 1 or 2 places. Significantly, this question was answered by 8983 people. 24 per cent people said that they did not have to pay any bribe. 8 percent of the people gave a vague answer. That is, a total of 52 percent of the people admitted that they had to bribe someone or the other. A total of 86 percent of the 8,707 answers to a separate question admitted that they had to pay a bribe in a government office. This included the magistrate's office, property registration office and other local government offices.
Only 23 percent people got transfer easily
8907 people were asked whether their property transfer was done smoothly. In response, 13 percent of the people said that they had a will and their transfer process was very easy. Apart from this, there were 10 percent people who said that despite not having a will, the transfer was done easily.
