Indian Railways is one of the largest transport networks not only in the country but also in the world. Railways are the only important means of transport for most
people in the country. For long-distance travel after the flight, most
people choose railways. Traveling by
train is economical and convenient. But not many
people know that the Ministry bears more than half of your travel expenses.
Railways subsidize more than half of the travel cost while traveling by train. Railway
minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that Railways is offering more than 55% concessions on passenger fares. He also said that this year alone, Rs 62,000 crore has been given as a subsidy in railway fares. The Railway
minister was in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh on
tuesday to inspect the railway station.
Railway
minister informed that subsidy is provided to all the passengers by Railway Ministry. It is about 55 percent. In other words, where the railway spends Rs.100 on any route, the passengers are charged only Rs.45. He also said that the Railways had given a total subsidy of Rs 62 thousand crores to various categories of passengers last year.
When the Railway
minister was asked about which new trains are going to be run by the Railway Department, he said that EMU trains are going to be run on
indian Railways under construction. An EMU
train does not have an engine. It works like Metro.
electricity is received in the second and third coaches of these trains and the
train is powered by the energy obtained from it. The same system will be present in EMU vehicles.
The Railway
minister informed about the launch of the
5g service in the country by
bharat sanchar nigam limited (BSNL). He said that the
5g service from
bsnl will be launched by October. The target is to launch this
service in five major cities of the country in the next 500 days. The
government has provided Rs 1 lakh 64 thousand crores to strengthen BSNL.
