The price of Aavin products spiked high..! Price details..!
The Goods and services Tax (GST) has been hiked on several items following a consultation held at the two-day 47th GST Council meeting in Chandigarh. GST has been increased by 5 percent on many food items, which has also increased the prices of many essential food items. Many people are expressing their displeasure with this tax hike as they feel that the livelihood of the middle and poor people will be affected due to this price increase. In this case, there has been an increase in the price of the goods of the state-owned Aavin company.
Accordingly, the price of 200 grams of yogurt has been increased from 25 rupees to 28 rupees, and the price of 100 grams of yogurt has been increased from 10 rupees to 12 rupees. The price of half a liter of packet yogurt has been increased from Rs 30 to Rs 35, while the price of half a liter of ghee has been increased from Rs 275 to Rs 290.
Also, the price of one liter of ghee has been increased from Rs 535 to Rs 580. While many people are buying and using these products due to their reliability, the price increase announced recently has worried many people.Also, GST on printing/writing or drawing ink, LED lights, lamps and fixtures, and metal printed circuit boards has been increased from 12 percent to 18 percent. The GST rate on solar water heaters and systems has increased from 5 percent to 12 percent.
The GST rate for work related to the manufacturing of leather goods and footwear has increased from 5 percent to 12 percent. Apart from this, the rate for roads, bridges, railways, metro, sewage treatment plants, and crematoriums has increased from 12 percent to 18 percent. Tetra Pak has been increased from 12 percent to 18 percent and cut and polished diamonds from 0.25 percent to 1.5 percent.
