23-year Prodigy makes 100 crores in stock market!!

Warren Edward Buffett, Benjamin Graham, George Soros, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala and Radhakishan Damani are some of the big names, who are known as the biggest investors of the stock market. Now the name of Sankarsh Chanda has also been added to this list. This 23-year-old youth from hyderabad started investing in the indian stock market at the age of 17. Today he has become the owner of 100 crores !



company formed after leaving studies

Sankarsh is the founder of fintech startup Savart, which helps people invest in the stock market, mutual funds and bonds. The registered name of his company is Svobodha Infinity Investment Advisors Private Limited. Sankarsh started the company in 2017 after dropping Bennett university (Greater Noida) by investing only Rs 8 lakh. He was a student of B.Tech Computer Science. He left his studies midway to devote time to the stock market. According to a report by The Weekend Leader, he decided to drop out of studies to focus his full attention on stock trading while a B.Tech second year student. He started work with 35 people. 



100 crores property created by investing after 12th

Sankarsh started investing in the stock market in 2016 after passing class 12th from a school in Hyderabad. He started with just Rs 2,000 and invested more money over the next two years. Sankarsh said in one of his interviews, “I invested about 1.5 lakh rupees in two years. The market value of my shares had gone up to Rs 13 lakh in two years." 

In 2017, he sold shares worth Rs 8 lakh to start his own company. The rest of the money was kept for investing in the market. He continued to invest the profits he made through startups. After which they made a lot of profit.  He told The Weekend Leader, 'My total assets are now 100 crores. It is not only my stock market investment, but also depends on the valuation of my company. 23-year-old Sankarsh says, interest in the stock market increased after reading an article by American economist Benjamin Graham. Known as the 'Father of Value Investing' at the age of 14.

To invest through Sankarsh's company, you need to download one of its apps. To subscribe to this, you will have to pay Rs 4,999 every year, whereas earlier its cost was only Rs 99. Which increased to 299 and now its subscription charge has increased to 4,999. The app offers various investment options for different budgets. According to Sankarsh, it is so simple that you can start investing even with a small amount. 

The company did a business of Rs 12 lakh in the first year, Rs 14 lakh in the second year, Rs 32 lakh in the third year and Rs 40 lakh in the financial year 2020-21. 



Karsh also wrote a book called Financial Nirvana

In 2016, Sankarsh also wrote a book called Financial Nirvana. Which explains the difference between business and investment. Along with this, it also gives suggestions to diversify investments and understand the market. Sankarsh recommends reading three books for those who want to learn about money and investing, The Intelligent Investor, Security Analysis, and The First Three Minutes of the Universe.




live a simple life 

Even after becoming a millionaire at such a young age, Sankarsh likes to live a simple life. He is mostly in T-shirt and shorts. Sankarsh says “I hardly convert my stocks into cash, as I am less attracted towards materialistic life. I wear formals only when I need to attend a show or go to a meeting."
