This thing is liked more than salary
More than 5 thousand employees of Gen Z category have been included in the study. Apart from that, 500 HR professionals were also included in the study. 72% of the employees surveyed by Gen Z believe that they give priority to job satisfaction over salary. Whereas 77% people said that they would like to work in a company where there are opportunities for growth and development instead of a fat salary.
Priorities are different from the older generation
These priorities of Gen Z are different from the older generation. For the older generation, factors like working for a long time in the same company and higher salary used to be important for changing jobs. For the workers of the older generation, staying in the office for longer than the fixed working hours also seems to be a common thing. The new generation sees different priorities from them.
Half the professionals looking for better opportunities
Almost half of the professionals of Gen Z are looking for opportunities to change jobs in the next 2 years. About 47% of the professionals said that they are looking for more meaningful work and will change jobs as soon as they get the opportunity. They are also looking for opportunities to change jobs for better work-life balance. In the study, only 25 percent of the people admitted that they wanted to change jobs for salary.
