Traveling to lakshadweep from the telugu states involves both air and water transportation, as there are no road or rail connections to the island territory. The journey starts with reaching kochi in Kerala, approximately 300 km away from the lakshadweep islands. Daily flights from hyderabad, vijayawada, and Visakhapatnam connect to kochi, with flight tickets costing a minimum of Rs. 4,500.

Alternatively, trains like Sabari Express run from hyderabad and several trains operate from vijayawada and Visakhapatnam to reach ernakulam Junction in Kerala. Upon reaching kochi, there are multiple transportation options to Lakshadweep. Flights from kochi to Agatti, the only airport in lakshadweep, have a minimum ticket price of Rs. 5,500. Water transportation includes boats and ships, with a travel time of 14 to 18 hours from kochi to Lakshadweep. 


Ship categories include First Class AC and Second Class AC, with ticket prices ranging from two and a half thousand to six thousand based on the class. Tourist packages are recommended for a trip to lakshadweep, typically lasting 3 to 6 days and starting from Kochi. Package costs start from Rs. 23,000 onwards per person, covering hotel accommodation, site visits, local transport, and meals.


 The best time to visit lakshadweep is generally from May to September, with high tourist traffic in December, January, and February. Before traveling to lakshadweep, tourists must obtain permission from the local administration.
