Oxygen: What if Oxygen Fluctuates?

Sindujaa D N
It was a matter of last year, in these days, there was a long line of Kovid patients outside the hospitals. Everyone was asking for oxygen, that too so much that it became difficult for the government to reach every person. After this, the central and state governments took lessons and installed oxygen plants in their areas. These are the plants where artificial oxygen is manufactured which gives breath to the patient lying on the ventilator. oxygen is essential for human beings, we have been studying this since childhood, but now its importance is understood. In such a situation, the question is, what would happen if oxygen disappeared from the earth for a few seconds? If we can stay alive even after holding our breath for more than 5 seconds, then what will be the difference if there is no oxygen on the earth for some time?
What if there is less oxygen, sometimes more?
In which 21 percent are oxygen, 78 percent nitrogen and 1 percent other types of gases. Some of which are harmful and some have no effect. Still humans, animals, everyone wants oxygen. That too when it is not present in much quantity in the Earth's atmosphere. Scientific research suggests that about 260 to 280 million years ago, oxygen evolved on Earth and after this the communication of life started. For the first time, cyanobacteria algae began to absorb carbon dioxide and emit oxygen. oxygen dissolved in sea water and then created an environment conducive to biological growth. Well we know the sequence after this.
The origin of organisms and the development of forests improved our environment. Research shows that from 232 million years ago to 222 million years, the amount of oxygen continued to decrease and increase. That is, it was not permanent. Eventually an occasion came when the earth reached a stable level in terms of oxygen. This new research has been published in the famous science magazine Nature.

What if there is no oxygen for 5 seconds?
Research shows that even if we do not get oxygen for 5 seconds, we will remain alive, but other activities will happen so fast that life will be in danger. First of all, due to the absence of oxygen, the ozone layer will disappear from the surdata-face of the earth and as soon as this happens, the sharp rays of the sun will suddenly increase the temperature on the earth. Skin, trees and plants will all start burning. Due to lack of oxygen, we will see less blue and more black in the sky. oxygen is an essential gas. Which keeps the air pressure favorable. If there is no oxygen, then the air pressure will decrease and our eardrums can burst. It is similar to the feeling of pain in the ears when the air pressure decreases while sitting in an aeroplane. But what will happen in the absence of oxygen cannot even be imagined. If there is no oxygen for a few seconds, then the efforts of the body can explode, because only hydrogen gas will remain in the cells.

Here is also the purest form of oxygen. As soon as the oxygen disappears, the earth will slide down at least 15 to 20 km and 5 seconds is enough for this to happen. Water is made up of H2O i.e. hydrogen and oxygen, but if the name of oxygen is there, the water present on the earth will start flying as vapor. The oceans may not be empty in 5 seconds, but they will surely be half. Due to which the creatures living in it can come in danger. Overall, the point is such that there is a big difference between holding your breath for 5 seconds with your own hand and the disappearance of oxygen from nature. In such a situation, even the oxygen produced in the mills will not be able to give us life.

What will happen if the amount of oxygen is high?
Now let me tell you what can happen if there is too much oxygen? Research suggests that if the amount of oxygen in the Earth's atmosphere doubles or exceeds, then the data-size of small insects, cockroaches etc. will become very large. The presence of oxygen is necessary for a fire to burn. Too much oxygen can start a fire. That is, a small spark in the forests can burn them down fast. Even worse effect will be on human life. Due to the high amount of oxygen, humans will feel more energy in the beginning. Some diseases will also be cured but it will not be for long. Excess amounts of oxygen will affect the cells and blood vessels and give rise to new types of disease. There will also be a risk of oxygen toxicity in humans.

All these events will happen so fast that neither humans nor nature will be able to adjust with them. Therefore, whatever nature has given, we only have to save it as much as it has given. Water, air, forest, soil… everything. Neither we need more nor do we have to reduce it so that human existence remains.
