Kodaikanal: Due to the increase in tourist arrivals to kodaikanal due to the continuous holidays, vehicles were waiting in long queues at the silver Falls area entering the city. Traffic was disrupted as vehicles lined up on the mountain road about three kilometers away. Chithirai tamil New Year, Holy Friday, Saturdays and Sundays are four consecutive government holidays. Following this, a large number of tourists came to kodaikanal in their vehicles. vehicles were waiting in long queues at the tollgate near the silver Falls at the entrance of kodaikanal yesterday morning. kerala is not only the rest of tamil Nadu. Most of the vehicles were from andhra pradesh and Karnataka.

Vehicles waited for more than an hour to cross the kodaikanal tollgate. Thus hundreds of vehicles lined the mountain road for a distance of three kilometers. This caused heavy traffic congestion in the area.

Thus the tourists suffered from not being able to go to their room and tourist spots in time. Tourists are expecting the police to take action to avoid traffic jams at tourist sites by hiring additional police as the series of holidays will further increase tourist arrivals.
