Notably, domestic liquor sales are lower than last year and foreign liquor sales have increased. The tendency of alcoholics seems to be more toward foreign than domestic. In the year 2021-22, 3 crores 86 lakh liters of alcohol was consumed by the drinkers.

But the number of alcoholics was less than that. The number of drinkers is claimed to have increased rather than decreased. In the year 2020-21, the sale of domestic liquor was 2 crore 62 lakhs. In the year 2021-22, it decreased by about 13 lakh liters. This year, 2 crores 49 lakh liters of alcohol were consumed by the drinkers.Foreign liquor sales increased compared to the previous year. This increase is in the house of 13 lakh 86 a thousand liters.
