6. On october 8, 2005, an earthquake measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale occurred in Pakistan-occupied kashmir at 9.20 am. The impact of the earthquake with epicenter near Muzaffarabad in PoK was felt in entire North india including Jammu and Srinagar. About 87,000 people are estimated to have died in this earthquake.

7. On september 30, 1993, a terrible earthquake occurred in Latur district of Maharashtra. This earthquake with epicenter in Kilari village of Latur was measured with 6.4 magnitude on the Richter scale. The earthquake was so severe that 52 villages were completely razed to the ground and more than 20,000 people died. The maximum damage was done in Latur and Osmanabad districts.

8. On october 20, 1991, earthquake tremors occurred in Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Tehri districts of uttarakhand (erstwhile Uttar Pradesh). The impact of the 6.1 magnitude earthquake that occurred during the night was also felt in Delhi. Due to the epicenter in the hilly districts, buildings collapsed on a large scale. The death of more than 1,000 people was recorded due to this earthquake.
