7 years of Telangana-Million march in the history of Telangana agitation
The Million march was a wonderfully made successful by the people of telangana on March 10th, 2011 during the Telangana movement. It gave mental strength to the activists and the people. telangana JAC called for million march. Telangana JAC’s strategy is to hold the Million march on a very large scale first. However, the state government, which had promised to postpone the intermediate exam scheduled for March 10, did not postpone the examination later. The Telangana Rashtra Samithi has proposed to hold the Million march a little backwards. MILLION march campaign got an unprecedented response from the people and because of this, The Congress, TDP, bjp and left have also moved together in. Million march occupies a special place in the history of telangana movement.
On march 10th, 2011, activists prepared early strategies to march from Necklace road in Hyderabad. The government has used the compulsion to fail the march. police blockades, barriers, barricades and iron fences in the data-border of the districts could not stop the Telanganists. police and paramilitary forces were deployed throughout hyderabad city, but without any result. They planned it in such a way that the intelligence sources couldn’t even recognize it. They arranged a wedding team At a function hall in Indira Park area and they came upto the tank bund as a wedding party. police detention intensified in 10 Telangana districts as of noon. In all over telangana, 1,00,000 people were detained early and 11,000 were arrested in hyderabad alone.
