Danger of bacteria staying on the pillow all night..!?
Here's how to change pillowcases once a week. To take care of the skin we must first clean our pillowcases properly. Skincare expert Geethika Mittal says it's important to change it every week. In her instagram post, she spoke about the importance of changing pillowcases once a week and the bacteria spread by pillowcases. If we don't see the need to change the pillow, we are likely to sleep with dead skin cells and bacteria every day. Skincare experts stress that changing or washing pillowcases once a week is good for the skin.
Our pillowcases can contain dust, dirt, oil, pet hair, dead cells, and bacteria. Even if we have a proper skincare routine, if we don't change the pillowcase, it's all in vain.
Bacteria and dirt in the pillow case can cause skin breakouts. Using silk pillowcases can improve the skin. A study conducted in the united states found that people who used silk blankets had fewer acne problems than those who used cotton blankets. According to the study, this is because silk fabrics are gentler on the skin than other fabrics.
A silk blanket absorbs less oil from our data-faces. Half of the problems are solved if you make sure to wash and use the pillowcase in your skincare routine.
