It is said that COVID-19 mainly affects the lungs, but continuous research shows that the coronavirus is not only harming the lungs but almost every part of the body. This also includes the liver.



A study by the university of Tennessee revealed that about 11% of patients have serious liver problems. 




Wherein 14 to 53% of people had increased liver enzymes such as alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST). An increase in these enzymes means that your liver is temporarily damaged.


In some patients, diseases like liver swelling and jaundice were also seen due to covid. 



Some patients are also reporting the problem of liver irritation due to Covid. Its reaction is different for every patient.



Due to Covid infection, many types of liver-related problems have come to the fore. For example, problems like jaundice to liver failure are being seen. 



Only keeping a distance from this virus can help us in keeping our liver safe.


Experts recommend that people take the right nutrition diet. Include high protein food in the routine. Eat green vegetables, cheese, fruits to improve your immunity.
