Lalbagh Flower Show Starts Today In Bengaluru.
1. Admission Fees
Entry to the flower show is available at all four gates of Lalbagh, with the cost set at Rs 80 for adults and Rs 30 for children. Additionally, school students can enter the venue free of charge. The flower show will be open from 9 am to 6.30 pm.
2. Security and Other Preparations
To ensure the safety of attendees, essential security personnel, police officers, and home guards have been deployed at a cost of Rs 2.80 crore. This year, a total of Rs 2.80 crore has been allocated for the flower show, which will feature two types of flowers - foreign and indigenous.
3. Additional Information
The Department of Horticulture will be organizing a fruit and flower exhibition to raise awareness and provide information about the life of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. The display will showcase Dr. Ambedkar’s life, education, and accomplishments. Furthermore, a photo of the constitution adorned with flowers will also be featured.
4. Total Flowers for Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Theme
The theme dedicated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar will incorporate a total of 7 to 8 lakh flowers. The decorations will be comprised of foreign flower varieties sourced from tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam, and Jammu. Additionally, 1.50 lakh flowers from the Lalbagh Nursery have been specially cultivated for this decorative purpose. Currently, the flowers have been harvested.
In preparation for the event, the Horticulture Department along with volunteers and the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) convened to ensure that the prestigious show remains environmentally friendly.
