JET Admit Card 2026 Date: Download Revised Exam Schedule and Examination Details

Balasahana Suresh
The Jharkhand Eligibility Test (JET)2026 — conducted by the Jharkhand Public service Commission (JPSC) — is a crucial eligibility entrance exam for candidates aspiring to become Assistant Professors and gain PhD admissions in universities and colleges across Jharkhand. After an official postponement of the original schedule, the commission has now announced a revised exam date, and the admit card release timing is drawing close.

Revised Exam Date 2026

The JET 2026 exam, originally slated for 29March2026, has been postponed by JPSC. The updated schedule sets the JET exam on 26April2026 (Sunday). This change gives candidates additional time to prepare and finalise logistics before exam day.

When Will the JET Admit Card Be Released?

While JPSC has not yet published a specific admit card release date, official updates and exam calendars suggest that the Hall Ticket will be made available about 7–15 days before the exam — meaning early to mid‑April2026 is the expected window for candidates to download their Admit Cards.

📌 Typically, JPSC releases admit cards on its official portal first, and aspirants should regularly check the official website (jpsc.gov.in) for the download link once it goes live. ‌

How to Download the JET Admit Card 2026

Once released, candidates should follow these steps:

Visit the official JPSC website at jpsc.gov.in.

Look for the link titled “JET2026 Admit Card” or “Jharkhand Eligibility Test Admit Card” on the homepage.

Click the link and enter your Registration Number / Roll Number and Date of Birth.

Submit the information and download the Admit Card PDF.

Take a printout and keep it handy for exam day — a colour print is recommended for clarity.

ℹ️ Your admit card will be your entry pass to the examination centre and will contain details like your exam time, venue, roll number and exam day instructions.

Exam City Change Window

Prior to the admit card release, JPSC also provided a city change option for candidates — allowing them to revise their preferred exam centre cities. This window was open from 24March to 30March2026 (5PM). While that window has closed, candidates who updated their city choices for the new exam date can expect that reflected in their admit card.

What the Admit Card Will Include

Once issued, each JET 2026 admit card is expected to show:

  • Candidate’s name, photo and roll number
  • Revised exam date: 26April2026
  • Exam centre address and reporting time
  • Important exam day guidelines for candidates
Carry the admit card with one valid photo ID proof (like Aadhaar card) to the exam centre for verification.

JET2026: What to Expect on Exam Day

The JET exam assesses candidates’ knowledge and eligibility through two papers:

  • Paper‑I: General Paper (Teaching and Research Aptitude)
  • Paper‑II: Domain‑specific (subject of specialisation)
Both papers are typically conducted in a single session with a total duration of around 3 hours. Aspirants should plan to reach the centre well ahead of reporting time mentioned on the admit card to complete entry formalities smoothly.

Important Preparation Tips Before the Exam

To make the best use of the remaining time before 26 April:

  • Download and verify your admit card as soon as it’s released.
  • Re‑check your exam centre details and shift timings.
  • Finalise your travel plan and reach the venue ahead of time.
  • Revise past year papers and syllabus topics thoroughly.
