REET 2026: Does Passing It Guarantee a Government Job?
- REET is conducted by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) or Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan.
- It certifies that a candidate is eligible to apply for teaching jobs in government schools — mainly for:
- Level 1 (Primary Classes 1–5)
- Level 2 (Upper Primary Classes 6–8)
- The certificate earned has lifetime validity, meaning once you pass the exam, the eligibility stays with you.
- Passing REET makes you eligible to apply for teacher vacancies — it does not by itself make you a teacher.
- After qualifying the REET exam, you must still apply through separate recruitment drives when government vacancies are announced.
- Selection for a teaching position usually involves:
- Application for specific teacher vacancies
- Document verification
- Merit list preparation
- Sometimes interviews or further selection stages depending on the post.
❌ No – It does not automatically guarantee that you will secure a government job. You still need to apply for specific recruitments and compete with other qualified candidates.
