9-Yr Indian-American girl named as world's brightest kid!!!

Based on the outcomes of exams beyond grade level taken by more than 16,000 pupils in 90 countries, Preesha Chakraborty, a nine-year-old Indian-American schoolgirl, was included in the famous Johns Hopkins Centre for Talented Youth's list of the "world's brightest" students. Preesha attends Warm Spring Elementary school in Fremont, California. According to a press release on Monday, she took the Johns Hopkins Centre for Talented youth (JH-CTY) test in the summer of 2023 while she was a Grade 3 student.

Preesha was included in the list following the evaluation of over 16,000 children' above-grade-level test scores from over 90 countries worldwide, the statement stated. She received recognition for her outstanding results on the CTY Talent Search, the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT), the American college Testing (ACT), the school and college Ability Test, or comparable exams. Based on their test results, fewer than 30% of students are eligible for High Honors or Grand Honors/SET each year.

She received the Grand Honors after scoring flawlessly in both the verbal and quantitative portions of the exam, matching the 99th percentile of advanced Grade 5 achievements, according to the press statement. Preesha's accomplishment entitles her to participate in over 250 Johns Hopkins CTY online and on-campus programs for advanced students in computer programming, mathematics, chemistry, physics, reading, and writing in grades 2 through 12.

Preesha has been a lifelong member of the globally recognized Mensa Foundation, the world's oldest high-IQ association. Individuals who achieve at least a 98th percentile on a standardized, supervised IQ test or another authorized intelligence assessment are eligible to join. At the age of six, she accomplished this feat by earning 99 percentiles on the national NNAT (Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test), which evaluates pupils in grades K–12 for programs aimed at the gifted and talented. Preesha loves travelling, hiking, and mixed martial arts outside of schooling. Preesha has always had a strong desire to learn and demonstrated remarkable academic ability, according to her parents.
