Cyclone Mocha - Storm to Make Landfall in this place..??

The Southeast Bay of bengal and the nearby South andaman sea have formed a low-pressure area, according to the indian Meteorological Department (IMD), which is expected to intensify into a depression over the same area on May 9 and further into cyclone Mocha on May 10.

IMD predicts that Cyclone Mocha will first travel in a north-northeasterly direction towards the eastern portion of the Bay of bengal until May 11 before making a U-turn and heading back towards the Bangladeshi and Myanmarese shores on May 12. It stated that after a depression forms on Tuesday, full information regarding landfall and strength will be available.

The weather service has also warned against sailing into the southeast Bay of bengal and surrounding andaman sea starting on monday and into the southeast and surrounding central Bay of bengal and the andaman sea starting on Tuesday.

Between May 8 and May 12, it has advised temporarily suspending the management of tourism, offshore operations, and shipping close to the andaman and nicobar islands as well as the regulation of shipping activity over the seas in the southeast and central Bay of bengal and the andaman Sea. IMD added that a cyclonic circulation was also seen along the northwestern coast of tamil Nadu in the southwest Bay of Bengal.
