At least 50 people have died and many others are missing due to floods and landslides triggered by heavy rains in various parts of india in the last few days. From Himachal to the hilly areas of uttarakhand to the plains of odisha and Chhattisgarh, there has been heavy rain.

On Saturday, 22 people died in himachal pradesh and according to a report, four people each died in uttarakhand and Jharkhand, while six people died in Odisha. Apart from this, two children have died in Jammu and Kashmir. In this case, according to the officials of himachal pradesh, due to the sudden disappearance of five people who went missing after heavy rains, they could not be traced.

At the same time, many people have become homeless due to floods and landslides caused by heavy rains. Many people have also been displaced due to cloudbursts in the state and the rising water level has forced them to run away from their homes. Hundreds of roads, including the Shimla-Chandigarh highway, have been affected, many of which are still closed for vehicular movement.

At the same time, the situation is similar in the neighbouring state of uttarakhand as well. An official government said that 13 people are missing due to continuous rains. We have deployed helicopters to rescue people stranded in remote areas due to rain-related incidents and rescue operations are in full swing, said an official of Uttarakhand's Disaster Management Department, Ranjit Kumar Sinha.
