Yasin Malik: Demands Kashmir & then gave up, why?

In 1991, I went to srinagar to cover the news. In the afternoon, when I went on a busy road, there was a sudden commotion. people left bicycles, sandals and shoes and started running. Bullets flew from all sides. It was hard for people to save lives. But the violence that started abruptly stopped abruptly as well. In a few minutes nature returned to life.

I entered the Border Security Force (BSF) bunker. Border Security Force soldiers later told me that this was a scene of daily clashes between the kashmir - SRINAGAR/JAMMU' target='_blank' title='jammu and kashmir-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">jammu and kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) and Hizbul Mujahideen.

JKLF demands liberation as a turning point in separatist movement in kashmir Valley The men were killed by Hizbul Mujahideen or joined or left the field.

Hizbul Mujahideen had Pakistani support. Its extremists not only fought in the name of islam but also jumped into the fight to annex kashmir to Pakistan. Hizbul Mujahideen became the most powerful extremist organization in Kashmir.

JKLF The leadership suffered huge losses. The organization finally announced in 1994 that it would lay down arms and fight peacefully for "Kashmir's independence".

At that time, Yasin Malik led the JKLF, which demanded the liberation of Kashmir. Pakistan-backed Hizbul Mujahideen, led by Syed Salahuddin from Pakistan's Kashmir. The two were together at one time. In the 1987 legislative elections, Syed Salahuddin (real name Syed Yousuf Shah) was the candidate and Yassin Malik was his election agent.

Saifullah, a former commander of the JKLF's srinagar region, was also Salahuddin's election agent. Speaking on the phone from srinagar, Saifullah said, "Yasin Malik is my childhood friend. He and I (Yasin) were Salahuddin's polling agents in the 1987 election. We won that election by a margin of 35,000 votes. But we were defeated. We were all arrested."

Saifullah is pleased that the court has found Yasin Malik guilty. He accused Yassin Malik of killing many of our colleagues for his political gain, saying, "They are all agents of India." If Allah punishes him today, it will be his punishment for the crimes he committed. All the other friends who were murdered are watching from heaven as a murderer is being punished. "

"These killings took place in 1996. Since then the differences between me and Yasin have started. We are still friends, but the differences have increased," he added. "In 1994, he declared a ceasefire in the name of launching a peace process with the indian government," Saifullah said.
