Every year the whole of india celebrates 23 march as Martyr's Day. This year, on the occasion of Martyrs' Day, Nehru yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) is going to organize programs in 623 districts of the country. This program is being celebrated as a part of the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. The event will be attended by a large number of youth and youth club members of NYKS. The theme of Martyrs' Day by NYKS is 'Tribute to the Revolutionaries'.


on the occasion of Martyrs' Day, Nehru yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) is going to organize programs in 623 districts of the country. The objective of the event is to instill a sense of pride, honor, and duty among the younger generation by celebrating the life, works, and philosophies of the freedom fighters.


NYKS believes that the stories of freedom fighters will inculcate feelings of patriotism and nationalism among the youth and motivate them to engage in nation-building activities.

Academics, artists, eminent personalities, people from state/district administration will also participate in various programs organized by NYKS. The programs will begin with the lighting of the lamp, after which a seminar, swearing-in, sports, quiz competition will be organized on the lives of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev. Along with this, gifts will also be given to the winners. This program will be organized at 14 locations in 8 states, 2 union territories.


Know why Martyr's Day is celebrated

Freedom fighters have struggled a lot behind the independence of India. In 1931, on 23 march, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev had sacrificed their lives. Every year 23 march is celebrated as Martyrs' Day in memory of the sacrifices made by the brave revolutionaries. The purpose of this day is to bring the heroic stories of the fighters who fought with valor among the people.
