3rd anniversary of the National War Memorial...
It has been three years since the National war Memorial was completed in Delhi. On this occasion, the Chief of the Navy, Admiral R. hari Kumar, and Chief of the air Staff air Chief Marshal vivek Ram Choudhary were present along with Vice Chief of army Staff Lt Gen Manoj Pandey and Defense Secretary ajay Kumar. He paid tribute to the martyrs this morning on the third anniversary of the National war Memorial in Delhi.
War Memorial was decoratedThe war Memorial was fully decorated on this occasion. It is worth noting that the National war Memorial has been built in delhi in memory of the soldiers martyred in all the wars. It was dedicated to the nation on 25 february 2019 by the prime minister of india, narendra Modi, three years ago today, it was built on 44 acres near india Gate.
The names of all the martyrs of all the wars are recorded here. Right in the middle of the war Memorial is the main pillar where the amar Jawan Jyoti is lit. Recently, the flame lit at india gate was also merged with the flame of the National war Memorial. All the walls of the memorial bear the names of 13,300 indian soldiers martyred in different operations including different wars 1947-48, 1962 (India-China War) as well as 1999 (Kargil).
