How Pro-TDP Media mislead people on New Districts?

G GOWTHAM
The pro-Telugu Desam party propaganda has been reporting for the past two days that the andhra pradesh government will be unable to construct new divisions because the central government has blocked district, revenue unit, and mandal data-borders until the National survey is finished. On Friday, the Andhra Jyothy website reported that the Centre has urged the state to halt the creation of new districts till june 30, when the Census exercise resumes following the Omicron menace.

There was no response from the government, leading to speculation that the reports were accurate. However, multiple media enquiries to the Census Bureau confirmed that the stories were absolutely false. In reality, a letter addressed by the Commissioner of Census on december 24 to all states / union territories ordered the states to finish the process of any modifications in district data-borders before june 30.

The Census will not be completed until june 30 due to the latest Omicron danger, according to the Census director. As a result, the deadline for freezing the administrative unit (district) boundaries has been extended until june 30. The letter requested that the state chief secretary make any adjustments to the territorial area by june 30 at the latest, and provide copies of the notifications to the appropriate Directorate of Census Activities before the cutoff.

That is why the jagan government felt compelled to act quickly in deciding on additional districts and issuing gazette announcements to that effect. However, in order to discredit the jagan government, pro-TDP media spread all kinds of rumours about the new districts!
