AP Govt's new claims on crime against women.

According to data supplied by the andhra pradesh state government,  the average time needed to submit charge sheets in cases of crime against women has been reduced to 42 days. The average duration for submitting charge papers was 318 days from  2014 to 2019.
According to the latest state home ministry data, the andhra pradesh Police Department responded to 900 distress calls made by women using the DISHA SOS smartphone app. When women are in danger, the DISHA app allows them to contact local authorities by simply shaking their phone five times or tapping the SOS button.

Nearly 70 lakh individuals have downloaded the DISHA smartphone application,  and we have already documented  900 success stories in which we were able to prevent crimes.
Between 2014 and 2019,  the average time it took to submit charge papers in group rape cases was 257 days. The time has now passed 40 days. In POCSO cases, the average time to submit charge sheets was 175 days,  but that has now decreased to 41 days.
The average time it took to file charge papers in rape cases was 261  days. According to the government, the average time taken is now only  47 days.
