India rescued us or be burnt alive?

As she was evacuated from Kabul aboard a C-17 plane, an Afghan woman thanked india for assisting her in escaping the Taliban. "Because the situation in afghanistan was worsening, I moved here with my daughter and two grandkids. Our indian brothers and sisters stepped in to save the day. They (the Taliban) set fire to my home. I appreciate India's assistance "she remarked after arriving at Ghaziabad's Hindon air Force Station. She was one of 168 individuals evacuated by the indian air Force as the indian government worked to bring people back from the war-torn country. The aeroplane, which took out from Kabul earlier in the day, also carried around 20 Afghan Sikhs and Hindus.

According to witnesses, the Taliban are ensuring that passengers form orderly lineups outside the airport's main gates and are not allowing masses to amass around the periphery. The US has issued a security warning for Kabul's chaotic airport. Following the Taliban's seizure of power on august 15, tens of thousands of Afghans are attempting to escape the country.
