BHARATH TO BE: What happened to the rights we fought for?

Sachin
The 75th anniversary of India's independence is being commemorated. Numerous outstanding development initiatives, as well as various public solutions, have come up with answers to many challenges during the last 75 years. However, the rights that indian people battled for on this journey were never fully restored. In this democratic society, the freedom to question is still denied to indian citizens. Gauri Lankesh, a journalist, should have lived if questioned.

No one possesses the characteristics of a public leader. For centuries to come, several governments and rulings came and went but people still are fighting for rights.  The fight for the rights of peasants is still ongoing. women are still fighting for their rights. Employees, individuals from the poorer parts of society, students, and all of these groups are fighting for their rights and posing a challenge to India's growth. Why are Indians, who are recognised for standing on their own two feet and succeeding, battling so hard for their rights?

Why are people taking to the streets to protest governments? Why did the farmers have to surround the parliament building over and over again? people could no longer bear the injustices done by governments in the guise of governance, and they took to the streets to demonstrate their opposition and yearning for independence. Those who claimed that the future will be better after independence is achieved may feel horrible about themselves if they observe the current situation and wonder why they brought freedom.
