Flood Alert: 4 States under list!
According to the IPCC's climate change assessment, global warming is perilously close to spiralling out of control, resulting in increasing sea levels throughout the planet, including in India. As a result, numerous coastal locations on Earth may be submerged. Here's how rising temperatures in India's major cities would affect them in the next years:
Mumbai
Mumbai, India's financial centre, would be one of the badly-affected coastal regions as a result of global warming. According to study, over 65 percent of mumbai would be flooded in the near future. Colaba, Bandra, and almost all of Mumbai's western suburbs are among the regions at risk of flooding.
Goa
By 2050, the coastal state of Goa, which is known for its beach holidays, would see a significant rise in sea levels. Most districts in South Goa, however, are expected to be unaffected, according to sources.
Kolkata
Almost all of the region of West Bengal's capital, notably Baranagar, Rajpur Sonarpur, including places around Howrah are expected to be submerged as a result of rising sea levels.

Floods are predicted to affect about 45 percent of Chennai, as a result of rising sea levels. The northern parts of Chennai, such as Minjur, Ennore, and Pulicat, are also under risk of floods.
