Pegasus row: SC asks to have faith in the system.

The supreme court chastised petitioners for holding a "parallel discussion" outside of the courts about the alleged monitoring of indian people by Israeli Pegasus malware. During the course of the case, the court ordered petitioners to refrain from discussing the subject on public venues. The union administration has till monday to reply to a slew of petitions calling for an independent inquiry into the alleged spying under the supervision of the courts.

“We expect any petitioners who are interested in this case and are expressing things in the newspapers to respond to our questions through a legitimate channel in the courtroom and not outside. We anticipate that petitioners will be aware that the court will hold a hearing. There will be inquiries. They need to have faith in the system. But there is a parallel debate, a parallel discussion...,” the bench, led by Chief Justice of india NV Ramana, informed the petitioners' attorney.

“There has to be some order. We posed several inquiries. There is a procedure for adjudication. It may be annoying at times and convenient for others, but that is how this process works. Both parties must bear the consequences. If they want to bring something to our attention, they should submit it here,” the bench, which also included justices Vineet saran and surya Kant, said.
