Not long ago, akshay kumar stunned his followers when he went after a YouTuber from bihar Rashid Siddiqui and sent him with a defamation complaint claiming Rs 500 crore in damages. During the sushant singh rajput death case, the individual in issue was raking in large views for his videos, making "baseless charges" against Akshay.



Shilpa Shetty has launched a defamation claim against 29 journalists and news organisations. After her businessman husband raj Kundra was arrested for allegedly creating and distributing pornographic content, she accused them of "false reporting and mdata-aligning her reputation." The court stated that her request for a restraining order on media reporting will have a "chilling impact" on press freedom.



Javed Akhtar has filed a criminal case against kangana ranaut, alleging that she made "defamatory and unfounded" remarks against him in one of her tv interviews. Akhtar filed a defamation suit against the actor under the relevant provisions of the IPC, alleging that he was involved in sushant singh Rajput's murder case and her high-profile feud with Hrithik Roshan.



Payal Ghosh and others were sued for Rs 1.1 crore by Richa Chadha for "defamatory comments." After Ghosh disclosed her name in her #MeToo claims against Anurag Kashyap, the actress initiated legal action. After the actress delivered a public apology to Ghosh, the situation was resolved.


In the bombay High court, bollywood producers mahesh bhatt and his brother mukesh bhatt sued aspiring actress Luvienna Lodh for levelling 'defamatory, slanderous, and false' claims against them. The Bhatt brothers also asked for Rs 1 crore in damages, as well as an injunction barring her from bringing any more such claims in the future.
