Elon Musk tweets on the 3rd test of ISRO's Vikas Engine for Gaganyaan.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, commended the indian space research organisation (Isro) for completing the third long-duration heat test on the Vikas Engine, which will power the ambitious Gaganyaan program, on Wednesday.
On ISRO's tweet, Elon Musk, the founder of aerospace manufacturing company SpaceX, wrote, "Congratulations." An indian flag is also included in his one-word tweet.
The engine was fired for 240 seconds at the isro site in Mahendragiri, tamil Nadu. In a tweet, isro stated, "On July 14, 2021, #ISRO successfully performed the hot test of the liquid propellant Vikas Engine for the core L110 liquid stage of the human-rated GSLV MkIII spacecraft, as part of engine qualification criteria for the #Gaganyaan Program."
As part of the engine qualification criteria for the Gaganyaan program, isro tested the liquid propellant Vikas Engine. According to isro, the test was done for the core L110 liquid stage of the human-rated GSLV MkIII vehicle.
"During the whole period of the test, the engine's performance matched the test objectives, and the engine characteristics were closely matching the expectations," the space agency said in a statement.
Gaganyaan is ISRO's primary effort to take humans to space in an indian vehicle to a low-Earth orbit. The first unmanned trip will take place in december 2021, with the second following in 2022-23.
